St. Patrick’s Day Festival 2026
Join us this 17 March for a spectacular seaside celebration in Dún Laoghaire.The much-anticipated St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns for its third year — and it’s bigger, brighter and more vibrant than ever.
From colourful performers to coastal views, live music to local markets, Dún Laoghaire is the perfect place to celebrate Ireland’s national day.

⏰ Time: 11:00 am
📍 Route: Starting at Islington Avenue (Newtownsmith) and finishing at Marine Road
Over 50 groups will take to the streets, filling the seafront with music, creativity and unstoppable St. Patrick’s Day energy.
Expect to see:
Superb musicians from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann
Brazilian Samba dancers and musicians
Characters from James Joyce’s Ulysses
Sea creatures, pirates and other characters in scary costumes
Baton-twirling skills from the Twilight Twirlers
Lifesavers from RNLI Dún Laoghaire
Volunteers from Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns
Billy Goat and his friends from Goat Boat Tours
Boats and crew from St. Michael’s Rowing Club
Local dancers, sports clubs, community groups and more
This year’s parade will be hosted by businessman and broadcaster Bobby Kerr, keeping the celebrations flowing as the procession makes its way along the coast.

After the parade, the festivities will continue!
St. Patrick himself will be available for photos at the Tourist Information Kiosk (beside Meadows & Byrne) — the perfect family moment to remember the day.
